THE PRODUCTION PROCESS

This diagram shows the process of electricity production at Deeside Power Station with fuel and water inputs and outputs.

Deeside has two gas turbines with an average output of 170 MW and the waste heat from these is used to produce steam to drive a 170 megawatt steam turbine.

Re-using the waste heat from the gas turbines makes a CCGT one of the most efficient ways of generating electricity.
