2009

2009 was another excellent year for Deeside in the management of health and safety issues, with no Lost Time Accidents recorded. A major outage programme was completed without serious injury

Deeside introduced its behavioural safety programme, Fresh Eyes, in 2007 and this was developed further during the year. Many tasks were observed and some useful improvements were made in safety management as a result.

Those members of staff trained in IOSH Managing Safely in the past took part in refresher training in 2009, and all senior managers have now been trained to NEBOSH Certificate standards.

Deeside has also introduced a computer based training package for all staff in Health and Safety matters relevant to their work.
