2010

2010 was another excellent year for Deeside in the management of health and safety issues, with no Lost Time Accidents recorded. A major outage programme was completed without serious injury; up to 300 contractors worked during a two-month period, undertaking major refurbishment work. Only one first aid injury was recorded.

Deeside introduced its behavioural safety programme, Fresh Eyes, in 2007 and this was developed further during the year. Many tasks were observed and some useful improvements were made in safety management as a result.

All senior managers have now been trained to NEBOSH Certificate standards.

Deeside has also benefitted from use of a computer based training package for all staff in Health and Safety matters relevant to their work.
