At full output the station burns 25 cubic meters of gas a second.

The fuel for Deeside comes from the National Transmission system. A 45-centimetre diameter pipeline was specially built to supply the power station and supplies gas at 75 bar (1100psi).

At Deeside the gas is filtered, metered and reduced in pressure to 25 bar.
