The Maintenance Coordinator, who reports directly to the Station
Manager, manages the Maintenance Department.

The department consists of three separate areas: Mechanical, Electrical, and Control and Instrumentation. Seven technicians and two plant attendants maintain and repair all plant and equipment
on site, with jobs varying in size from the changing of a lamp to
the planning and overhaul of the gas and steam turbines. The department is in constant liaison with the Operations Department
to maximise plant availability, and work also includes the selection and control of the many contractors who assist with major overhauls.

Deeside also has a Technical Support Group; a team of three engineers qualified and experienced in plant maintenance and contractor management, who fulfil many of the planning and engineering tasks.
