Deeside Power Station
Power from Gas
Deeside is a combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power station and one of a series of efficient, environmentally friendlier stations owned by International Power to meet the demands of domestic electricity and to demonstrate the company aim of becoming a world leader in power generation.
The station is sited at the head of the estuary of the River Dee near the English-Welsh border in the Alyn and Deeside district of Flintshire, North Wales and 9 kilometres (6 miles) from the Roman city of Chester.
